The 13^th I.I. World Convention was held at the Kyoto International Conference Center, in Kyoto, Japan. The theme was ‘Succeed and Continue’. There were 88 Chapters in attendance and 14 members represented Honolulu Chapter 56.  Karen Kirk served as Chapter 56 delegate, and President Patricia Kubo was the alternate.  Ikebana exhibitors representing Hawaii were Karen Kirk, Yukari Sato, and Shannon Teves. Nearly 300 members from around the world created impressive exhibits.
