Holiday Arrangement Workshop
18 November 2012
Elaine Arita and Bette
Uyeda led I.I.
Honolulu Chapter 56 members in a workshop on
creating festive floral arrangements for the
holidays. The
instructors demonstrated their creativity based
on the basic Ohara School’s Rising Form,
starting with identifying locally available
materials to substitute for the traditional
holly and pine not yet available in Hawaii They
even provided holiday music to help everyone get
into the mood!
Participants began with materials
provided, but most added other plant and
decorative materials to create their own
individual free style arrangements.
