Tropical Centerpiece Workshop

Sunday, April 15, 2012 Honolulu Chapter 56 members gathered for a workshop on Western style floral arrangement with Joyce Kaneshiro, floral designer for Watanabe Floral. Joyce gifted participants with goodie bags that included a towel, flower food, trash bag and a mandarin orange. Each person also received a large bunch of tropicals and ti leaves. Participants brought generous amounts of greenery to add to the arrangements. Each person also received a black plastic vase with a soaked deluxe oasis that holds large, heavy tropicals very well. After a demonstration by Joyce, everyone began to work on individual pieces. Everyone enjoyed working in this different style and participants will share what they learned by providing centerpieces for the Aloha Luncheon in May. |
