Splendors of Ikebana 2015 Exhibit

22-25 May 2015

Even the walls added to the Dynamic Tension of Color in this rainbow-hued exhibit!  This year's exhibit was held in the Museum of Art School, where a group led by Earl Shimabukuro erected a kinetic bamboo taisaku, or large group arrangement, on the side lawn.  Inside the entryway, President Gail Atwater's arrangement provided a brilliant cascade of colors leading to the door, which was flanked by another of Earl's creations.  Inside the hall contained ten Sogetsu arrangements, eight Ikenobo, six Ohara, one Toin Misho, and eight arrangements by  students between 8 and 19 years old.
