Membership Luncheon

Mrs. Michiko Shigeeeda, honorary member and Council General's wife, shared her hobby of bonseki at the membership luncheon. Bonseki is the Japanese art of creating miniature landscapes on black lacquer trays using white sand, pebbles and small rocks. (bon means tray and seki means stone.) In addition, several members of II Honolulu Chapter exhibited miniature arrangements, and several Sogetsu students decorated the tables with more miniature arrangements.
