The Japanese Section of the Department of East Asian Languages  and Literature of the University of Hawaii at Manoa organizes various activities to introduce students to Japanese culture.  This year the event was held on Oct 25.  Three volunteers from I.I.Chapter 56 presented information about the history and three main schools of ikebana with examples of Sogetsu arrangements.  They then assisted 30 students in creating a make-and-take arrangement.
