Luncheon
19 May
2019 I.I. Chapter 56 celebrated May Day in
Japanese-Hawaiian style, with lots of mu`umu`u and
other Aloha wear among the flowers at the historic Natunoya Tea
House. The program committee made flower
bouquets for everyone to wear in their hair while the
exhibits and centerpieces featured tropical flowers
used in many creative ways. Following lunch, our
very own Sogetsu master, Riji Karen Kirk, demonstrated
several large arrangements and then used some leftover
materials to do two more arrangements in containers
from the Ways and Means table.
