Lei Workshop

15 & 22 April 2018

Master lei maker Brian Choy held a special workshop on various lei making techniques for members of II Chapter 56.  He taught the wili (twisting) style of lei in the first session.  Students presented their “homework” wili lei then enjoyed demonstrations of the other lei-making styles in the second workshop.  The class also enjoyed a tour of Brian's lei garden at the Honolulu Museum of Art.  It was a wonderful workshop that generated much enthusiasm and appreciation for the many styles of  Hawaiian lei-making.  Brian is truly a master.  Workshop participants learned so much.
