Paper Workshop

16 October 2016

Tim Donahue used beautifully dyed paper and creative examples to inspire the lucky participants who enjoyed the Art of Paper Workshop on October 16.  Tim explained that dyed newsprint, which has a stiffer texture, was perfect for creating line in arrangements, while the softer, dyed tissue could be used to add color or create mass.  He also shared a handout with instructions for dying paper.  In the end, participants used the paper, which often looked more like exquisitely dyed fabric, in so many ways – as the photos illustrate.  It was an inspiring, creative ikebana afternoon!
