Sensei Sherrill Morichika-Balbirona showed several techniques for using Hana Dome, which are various fixtures for stabilizing floral materials without using a kenzan.  They may be hidden or can become an integral part of the free style arrangement.  Participants from Chapter 56 membership were the given the opportunity to create their own Hana Dome using a choice of black bamboo, branches, copper mesh, or vines, which they then used in an arrangement with roses and their own greenery.
