Our most recent garden tour was of the grounds at the Manoa Heritage Center, a privately owned property surrounding a historic Tudor style house.  The gardens include native Hawaiian plants, an agricultural garden and the ancient Kuka'o'o Heiau that was the the heart of the Manoa Valley agricultural portion of the Waikiki Ahupua'a.  We learned how the Cooke family chose to preserve and protect these native resources and makes them available to students and public tours.
